In every family, there is someone who feels called to trace the ancestors and pass on their story. Genealogy is not just a cold collection of facts; it is a way to breathe life into those who came before us. This passion for genealogy has grown into an intensive hobby for me. In addition to researching my own family tree, I have built a website with thousands of resources for genealogical and historical research. I also delve into the history of the Jewish communities in the province of Groningen, and the results are displayed on my website, joodsgroningen.nl. Since 2024, I have also been active in the core group for Jewish Heritage and Identity (JEI), with the focus on the provinces of Groningen, Friesland, and Drenthe.

Work to do

I'm currently working hard on this new family tree site. On my old family tree site, the template set there, no longer worked and since I am not the owner of that particular main domain, I could not change anything. High time for a family tree site completely under your own management. Transferring a GEDCOM appears slightly different with each program. The necessary adjustments must therefore be made before this site looks completely as desired. Finally, many archives have changed their links to documents over the years, causing old links to no longer work. All data is now checked again and provided with the current permalinks. Currently, the branch of the Muller / Mulder family is being revised.
